Mental Health: Take A Step Back

Taking a step back and slowing down when you’ve been pushing yourself too hard helps you to manage stress. Having motivation is a good thing but can also be too much of a good thing when it starts to affect your health and well-being.


When you are feeling overwhelmed, lie on your mat and say 'I give up' with a cheeky smile on your face. This doesn't mean giving up forever, it means giving up and letting go at that moment. If you want to view yourself as an emotionally strong person then you have to act like an emotionally strong person and accept, without self-criticism or a feeling of failure, that you can't be everything to everyone and neither can you control what goes on around you.
