YOGA

whYoga classes run in Balham (London Borough of Wandsworth) and Forest Green Village (near Dorking and Cranleigh) 48 weeks of the year and are taught by Skip Oliver (E-RYT500, SYT, IYN Yoga Elder, Dip Physical Theatre, BA Eng, MA Creative Writing). Skip has been running yoga classes since 1998, often assisted ably by her long-time friend, student and yoga teacher, Sandra Jack. Inspiration for each class is taken from a broad spectrum of disciplines including philosophy, the arts and of course the richness of the Hatha yoga tradition. Each class has an eclectic style and creativity. The aim is always to offer students, young and old, male and female, pregnant or post-natal the experience of variation and a deep exploration of yoga techniques including those aligned with Ayurvedic principles. Skip is adept at integrating those just beginning on their yoga journey and those who already have a solid practice. The classes are both dynamic and meditative and open the mind to health and self-realisation. A regular class runs on Monday night in Balham Library Hall, Balham and Saturday mornings in Forest Green Village Hall, Surrey Hills. Skip also runs Yoga Masterclasses and Teacher Trainings.
